On a site I've been on for over 10 years someone posted an image.
For a week people play with the image, manipulate what's there, add stuff from any source they wanted, and post variations.
After 1 week the poster ask one of the people that participated to post an image and we manipulated that.
The a new person was asked by that poster, etc., etc., etc..
There's another option.

Yes I recall a site that did that too. Neither site is up anymore but it was stupendously funny what people had added to it.
