    About "Titles"

Hi. I am wondering if there might be soem way to change the automatic "title change". I donīt know what itīs called, I mean the way you change from for ex "junior member" to "Guru".

When I first came here I just assumed that a Guru would be more knowledgeable than a Junior member. I think that moving up the titles after the number of posts a person makes is a bit misleading to people who donīt know how it works here.

If I keep posting welcomes to people, or asking questions, or just saying something like " I like your work", at the rate Iīm going I am going to become a Guru soon, and I am a complete photoshop newbie who hardly knows anything.

If someone new then comes here and has a question, and I answer it, they would probably take for granted that i know what Iīm talking about, which would most likely be wrong. lol

I hope you understand what I mean, what I am suggsting is that there be some otjer way of moving up the "ranks", like by being thanked, or, I donīt know, something else.

Anyway, that is my suggestion-like thing. / vafann

    Thanks for the input Vafann.

You're right, the levels are based on post count not skill level.
Most 1st time members that post here want answers to their questions and we have many regulars here helping them out.

Other members, even less skilled members in PS, are just as important to us.

They make the new guys feel welcome and comfortable and make PSG a place they want to come back to visit over and over.

Maybe you could think of the levels not so much a skill level, as a Photoshop Gurus contribution or participation level.

    Thanks for your thoughts,
    Steve
