Changes!!

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there is going to be a new thread in the "Upcoming Changes to PhotoshopGurus Forum" section and have this called "Upcoming Changes to PSG Forum 2012" or something like that?

There is one older thread allready posted there and looks similar like my request here, but I was thinking to have a new one.

"I think this new thread needs to be locked or something, just to prevent peoples to post on it or put their request in there and so keeping it nice and tidy. Perhaps an Admin thing only.! " (just a litlle tip!)

This would actualy be awsome to see the expecting changes that will be coming up for the year 2012 and things that are being worked on and such, and ofcourse things that will not work or can't be done at the moment unfortunatly. Because I was reading and digging through some old requests in that section and got a bit lost there.
But I can see some of these posts allready being dealt with and some nice work came out of it "keep it up guys" .

After all, don't feel being rushed upon this one!!
Because it's work in progress.!! (and i totaly respect that).

Ok lets try and say some things without saying to much as nothing is certain. At the moment there is a person called Admin you probably have not seen any posts by him as your relatively new. Admin owns the site and ultimately is the only 1 that can change anything. Unfortunately PSG is not the only site he runs and is busy in other projects at the moment pretty much Leaving Steve in charge and then some forum elves like Sir Maximus Dv8 and me. with the help of all the members in reporting spam inappropriate behaviour etc.

At the moment we are very busy with spring cleaning and deleting all the multiple accounts spammers etc with a list of nearly 40,000 to work our way through + approximately 200 new accounts made daily. So whilst the forum is pretty much self working and overwatched we are taking advantage of it.

Things I would like to see improved on is our freelance section we have many talented members here and there is no reason why we shouldnt have a bigger freelance section.

I am personally also working on updating our facebook page also advertising the freelance section. Giving any member (qualified) the opportunity to have a facebook portfolio of there work where they can easily navigate potential clients to.

Possibly looking at expanding slightly wider than photoshop and bringing up other software to date in the forum like after effects cinema 4d and Illustrator.

Other things have been discussed like reward schemes for members that help out do freelance work etc etc but no details are finalised and cant be shared eeven the proposals as of yet as we honestly dont Know.

We are also getting more member participation with challenges, competitions, Avatar wars and photoshop tennis etc. A chance for members to socialise more than just on the freebie requests we get

As to anything else what would you like to see changed we see the popularity of this site so assume everything is going well until you guys tell us or suggest something.

I see you guys are working hard keeping the forum run nice and smoothly which I very apreciate a lot.
As I'm enjoying my time visiting the forum, there isn't any sugestion so far on my side.
