Coloring Issue
Hey, so I've been following a tutorial on how to color sketches on photoshop, and it was all going great until...
I added a new layer and selected "color" mode but when I actually added the colour to the image, it wasn't really the colour selected.
For example, I chose a dark green colour but it came out as a really pale almost neon green...All the opacity bars are set to 100 so I don't know what the problem could be.
Before this I used a Gaussian blur filter if that helps...
But I've tried it on a plain image with no blur and it still happened.
I'm using CS4 by the way.
Please help me! T.T

Try Overlay instead of color.

Re: Coloring Issue
What's in the lower layers? Another color - yellow perhaps or a drawing with maybe 3% black fill or almost invisible fill) ?

Re: Coloring Issue
Try changing the blend mode to "Hue" which will not take into account the saturation or luminosity of the color (or hue more correctly) you choose. The luminosity and saturation will come from the layer below.
