How to remove a white back ground of an image and change it to transparent.

Hi All,

The title says it all really,

Im got this image which is attached and im trying to remove the back color of white to transparent...

But im kind of stuck on how to go about this im sure its only a few clicks in photoshop but not to sure where to start....

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

okie dokie then, get out the magic wand tool,

there if you were wondering, and just select all the white areas, and press delete :P

if you can't do that bacause what your trying to delete is "background" thenn double click the background layer, press okay and voila!

Brilliant thanks Zeealex, thats now been done, but when i have finished it still the hole image is highlighted, how can i make it drop the image i cant remember the short cut :(
