Animated Text Banner - Adjusting Single Characters
Hi guys, first post so go easy on me.
I have designed some banner ads with just text, suppose they say "we are the best company".
I want to animate the banner ad so that each character is added individually as the animation progresses i.e you would see:
w
we
we a
we ar
However, when I am creating the animation it is saving the latest version of the text on the previous slides so it doesn't work!
So my question is whether it is possible to create an animation with just one text layer.
If not then is there any other way I can get this to work?
Thanks in advance for all replies.

yes you can use just 1 text -layer
and let the mask move in each layer

Fantastic, exactly what I was after.
When you say let the mask move what do you mean exactly by that?

Re: Animated Text Banner - Adjusting Single Characters
you make a rectangle mask over the text
there is a chain between mask -miniature and image-minature that you have to unchain by clicking on it
then go to frame 1 and click on the mask-miniature and move the mask until you see the first letter, repeat for each frame
