    Photoshop effect???

    Hello,

Im really new to Photoshop and I was hoping someone could help me please?

I am trying to create a cool effect on an existing image, I have an example of what I am trying to create, however I have tried all the different tools in photoshop but I cant seem to get the effect right, could someone please advise or help me create an effect similar to that in image48.jpg, using the car in hummer.jpg
Basically I want to replace the BMW with a Hummer picture any hummer picture will do but I wanted it to look similar in style to the BMW pic? I really hope someone can help, im going crazy trying to get the noise the fading and so on right it just doesnt look correct.

    Thank You

    Here it goes:
    1 - Duplicate original layer
2 - Isolate the object (hummer) i.e. remove the background (look for tuts on this subject)
3 - Add a little white glow to the isolated car (lots of tuts again)
    4 - Drop a layer beyond the car's layer
5 - Fill it with black
6 - Select the car's layer and drop the opacity
7 - Adjust the opacity of the glow too

You talk about the noise, if you want it, just add it (new layer, fill with black, menu->filter->noise->add noise [monochromatic], layer blending mode multiply)

There's too much noise in it.
The glow is all around the pic and too "heavy".
Try to desaturate to hide the ugly oranges there.
IMO the BMW is a much sexy car than the Hummer, so there's no photoshop trick to that
