Hello, I'm new to the forum and a newbie and have a question that I do not end up with.
I want to make a silhouette picture for Laser Cutter like the following figures (all parts connected)
I'm not yet figured out how it is made.
The lines seem to be made more elegant.
Are the connections hand draw in illustrator or just a add on in Ps or Ai
Some examples.

So far I make a black and white image and a threshold in Ps.
Then I load the photo in Ai and make a vector from it.
But do not get the desired result, I succeeded with one picture i was a little bit lucky i guess :).
I only had to connect the right eye i did that is Ps.

Any tips on how i can make any picture suitable.
Can anyone help me with this or any tips?

Kind regards.

These types of silhouettes are really hard work. Here's only one way to do it.

The main thing you use in Ps would be some filters and then it's all Pen Tool!

First take your original....

Try a Cut Out Filter.......

Or a Threshold........

Then it's time to go to work with the Pen Tool!

I did not complete this as it's very time consuming.

I can make this suggestion. I find it helpful to open a graphic in Photoshop. Make adjustments to the graphic by painting in areas you want to connect, edit otherwise. If you intend to cut it out, then it has to have vector lines. Import it into AI and run Live Trace. I use AI CC and find some of the features quite useful for my lasering purposes.

If you already have a vector file, try using the BLOB tool. Its an amazing tool that allows you to just paint over an area and it welds those areas together.
Try a Threshold Adjustment Layer in PS. Here is the above photo with one applied.

If your going to raster this, it's pretty much ready to go at this point. You need 250-300 ppi for a good engraving. To cut this out after engraving, you will have to have an outline around the outside. I would draw it by hand with the pen tool in AI.

Wow well done, you are really artists
I'm going to try it.
So it has to be drawn by hand.
I have a drawing tablet but my drawing skills are not so good.
But I'm going to try it and see how far i come.

Thanks so far.

I still have a lot of training to do, but there's a start.
Not as feminine as your processing , but I get the idea.

Okay thanks go try that.
Meanwhile, I made a threshold and brushing away what is too much.
I think better than the first result but now i'am gone use the pen tool.
