Hello from a Newbie !!!

Hi there Community!

I just joined this site today and would like to hello to all.

I've been a great fan of photo shop for a long time and would really want to begin editing and making ordinary pictures into awesome pictures but the only problem is I don't know where to start.

What software do I buy?
Is there good software or GREAT software?
Inexpensive of expensive?

I am really interested in pursuing a hobby in photo shop so all the help would be very much appreciated.

There is good software and there is Photoshop.
Notice the capital "P"
