    Exclamation Photoshop Filters dimmed

I have Photoshop CS2, Windows XP version, and I have several filters dimmed that used to be available in my previous CS version. The filters are present in my plug-in folder, and I even copied the dimmed ones over from my CS2 installation CD. The filters are dimmed out no matter what I do. There's nothing about this problem on Adobe's Web site. I really need my 3D Transform filter to work, and I'm stuck. Help!

    Fixed the plugin problem

You can only use the more sophisticated render plugins, such as light source, and 3D transform if your source art is set to RGB /8-Bit. If your image is set to CMYK then the plugins will be dimmed out. I was working with a lot of CYMK art recently and my default was set to CMYK.

This information should be on the Adobe Knowledge Base but it isn't. It's a "stupid" kind of problem that is overlooked by the Photoshop documentation.
