Broken Wind Effect
INFO: I am currently using a legitimate CS4 masters collection.
I am trying to use the wind effect to get a nice style going on for the forums myself and a few friends are making.
Every time I now use the effect it never works as intended. It always goes into the text or layer. It was working yesterday... and I haven't made any changes, used any other CS4 program or done anything really.
What is the problem or known fix for this? I have Googled it and all other places have useless idiotic replies like did you reboot, did you reinstall.
Here's an example of the 'broken' effect: http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/q...g?t=1287212654

Re: Broken Wind Effect
Ok i got your solution,
1st you need to duplicate the text layer, or watever you wanted to look like winded, then apply the wind effect to the layer underneath the duplicated layer
heres an example, look at the fox racing logo in the bottom right corner

what i did there was duplicate the layer then apply Filter>Stylize>Wind>Ctrl (F)-to increase the density of the filter effect. And apply the filter under the duplicate layer, on the original layer

Re: Broken Wind Effect
Conflict, if you look at his example, the wind go's into the text, not off of it..

Kev, I know its inside the text, but what I did in the example is how you give the effect that Jawdan is looking for, you can't make it go outside the text or at least I cant.....

Re: Broken Wind Effect
It's easy to do, make your text, goto filter, stylize, wind...
