    My brush isn't solid! Help!!

Help! My regular brush isn't solid black, it's transparent!

    Brush opacity settings are 100%,
    hardness is at 100%,
    Layer opacity is at 100%,
and my pen pressure doesn't control the opacity either.

How can I fix this? What do I do to make my brush solid black again?

For some reason, my eraser works fine but the brush doesn't. I use Photoshop Elements 5.0.

    Please help! :(

Make sure the brush and layer modes are set to normal

Try resetting the PS preferences file.

Start Photoshop while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
    or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

Thank you so much too!!! I just had a problem with my brushes never being soft, they were always hard, and this fixed it for me too.

    Thanks again
