Fill Pixel Icon

After trying a tut out yesterday i realised that one of my features as stopped working, how do i repair it please?
It's the fill pixel icon it will not click open to use if you understand my wording, it still doesn't work this morning?

Hi Belial

The Fill pixels icon, "most of the time is grayed out", and not available when working with the Pen Tool or any other editing tool, it's only available when working with the Shape Tools, and it defines weigh, blending mode, opacity, size, radius, etc depending on the shape you are gonna create.
