    Can't move reference point

Hey all, just signed up, having a bit of a rough time:

I have a shape I made selected with Ctrl+T so I could rotate it. I don't want to rotate it around the center, so I usually just click and drag the reference point to a new spot.
Today though, I can't seem to click on the reference point and move it. It just stays put. I tried zooming in real close and out real far but to no avail. There's this toolbar that appears at the top of the window where I can enter custom x and y coordinates for the reference point, but adjusting these actually moves the WHOLE transform square and leaves the reference point in its center.

I'm trying to rotate a path, but I also tried it out on other layers and shapes as well to see if it was just that layer and it still isn't working.

So yeah, no clue! Hopefully someone knows what's going on, I can clarify further if need be.

If that fails then close photoshop and reset your preference file by going to start > all programs > photoshop and as soon as you click it hold down

shift+ control+ alt it will ask you do you want to reset your saved preference file click yes or Ok and then confirm the next action and you should find all the options reset back to factory defaut and you should be able to edit your reference point.

    Re: Can't move reference point

^Hrm, I did that and no luck. And yes, I can click on the little grid squares to set the reference point to a corner but the x,y coordinates still aren't working and I can't manually drag it around.

I'm going to try doing it to the same file on a different computer, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't allow me to move it -_-

Are you sure you properly reset your preferences file?

Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
    or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

^ It's working now but not sure if this was why.

I did the Ctrlaltshift thing like, twice one day, nothing happened...
Did it again the next day, still nothing happenend....
Loaded photoshop just a minute ago (didn't do it) and 'lo and behold, it's working now.

Thanks for the help though, maybe it just took 48 hours to kick in o_o
