Weird pressure settings with my tablet in photoshop CS4

    Hello,
(I hope I'm on the right part of the forum)

I have a tablet Waccom Bamboo "Fun pen & touch"
I use it with photoshop CS4.

The problem is when I activate pressure to control the size of my brush in PS, It randomly works perfect and sometime ignore pressure so it write the stroke with full size. I don't know why it is sometime ignored.

    Any idea? Thanks.

    Try resetting the preferences file.
It cures a lot of strange behavior in PS.

Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
    or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

You might try checking for updated drivers from Wacom.

I'll try this, but will my preset shortcuts be deleted?

    Yes.

If you're worried about that, locate and rename the file then restart PS.
PS will create a new preferences file.
If it didn't help you can switch back.

It sounds like the drivers, I would re-install like other have suggested. Also double check settings on your computers control panel, double check the settings.
Another thing to do is try the Wacom bamboo on another station or computer and see how it performs, it may be the tablet itself. This will clear up 75% of problems,...
