Help!!! My Cross hair!!!

I am having trouble with my cross hair not showing the size of my brushes or clones (where it shows a circle around the cross hair to know what size the brushes are) - this has happened before and someone told me to shut it down, and re-open photoshop, but it is not working! I just made a logo brush, and can't see the brush until I actually stamp it on my picture. I've looked around trying to see if there is a "box not checked" somewhere that would allow me to see the brush size before I start using it, no luck. I need help quick!!!! Work is stacking up!!!! Is your caps lock turned on? That's happened to me many times, and I had no idea why for the longest time. If caps lock is on, you get a crosshair instead of the actual brush size.
