This new to me I would like a comment

    On my Photoshop Saloon site

    http://www.photoshopsaloon.zap3x.com/

I have just switched to a database driven news and updates area. php is still new to me so I would like a comment or two.

The new host I am using allows php and MySQL (which is unusual for a free host) so I am trying to take advantage of it.

The inclusion of the database driven news form makes adding things so much easier as I don't need to adjust the page and re upload it each time I add an article.

I know this is old hat for a lot of you, but it is a new concept for me and I am quite excited about it.

I would appreciate any comments and suggestions on this database driven idea.

I am really not looking for critique on the site design just on the new technology.

    Thanks.

Hi Rick - so that is you over on the PST site! I wondered but you have changed your avatar, handle and logo - I guess peckasauras gets "lost in translation".

Nice site you are really getting into the technical! Good for you. I don't know a thing about data bases; I'm waiting for time to study.

I did put some RSS on a site I'm working on Its the first time I've used it. http://www.plainsfaith.com. I heard it was simple but ended up asking one of my programmers to finish.

Only problem is the client in Western Texas objects to some of the news that is piped through (you have no control over content) so we put in a disclaimer.

    Regards,
    Joy

Joe i didn't realise that there were adds on that site. They don't show up when I view it.

Anyway it is moot now as I have moved the entire site to my home server and did a complete re-design.

I got rid of the Western (saloon) theme and went for a cleaner look. Now if I could just attract a few visitors that would be great

    it's here http://ricki01.no-ip.info
