question about content/news boxes

Say if I wanted a new "news" box everytime i posted news how would i do it and how would it scale down the layout if the layout only goes so far?

Like making a content/news box in photoshop. I know how to make one, but some layouts you see multiple ones under eachother that go all the way down the page. Do i have to make all of them, or can I make one and just put it under another one when there is a different day of updates or news? instead of using the same box and erasing the previous days news?
