Photoshop colours?

Can anyone tell me how to brighten up the colours in an image with photoshop like in the one below. I know its not just saturation:

Hi,

I suppose it depends what you want to achieve. You can use stuff like the selective colour tool, the channel mixer. I would usually use a combination of the two with the saturation tool.

You would be best off isolating each section you want to re-colour as opposed to re-colouring the image as a whole.

You could also get some plugins such as Topaz Labs which is pretty useful and the ones that Nik Software make are cool. I can highly recommend them.
