    flaking paint

    Hi.
Trying to make some texture maps for some armor in Poser, and I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to make flaked paint.

I'm obviously not looking for curled edges with a 3D effect.
I'm just certain there has to be a way to take a layer of color, apply effect "X" to it, and have that color fragment away, leaving just little random flecks of the original color on the surface.

    Isn't there?

    Thanks for any help.

You can use brush dynamic, give it some random scattering, do it in several layers, lets say about 3 different layers, and you can apply shadow effects to all of them to give it some depth.
