questions

ok im new to the boards, hello all

i was wondering how you do transparent layering ? because i've started to figure out photoshop not too long ago and i can only do some layering

and another question is how do you do word arts ? i only figured out how to type it and then use filter tools :/ but i want to do the fancy looking ones
