| pS chrome coating Duga, I don't think it looks like chrome. Partly caused by the reflections and bevels that don't seem to convince me, but it's also lacking some proper coloring. Chrome tends to have some color of the surroundings in it. The text also has a lot of ugly edges, but also the inside doesn't look clean. Personally I think that the shadow is too dark and that it could use a softer edge. Try to make your images look more clean and sharp, because I really think after looking at all your images over the last few months that this is really an area in which you can and should improve. I've also looked at the tutorial and personally I think that your results in the first 6 steps look better than what you're showing us now with this image. You might consider to use a different approach from step 7 onwards. You're improving your tutorials so that's a good thing, but you're not reaching a lot of people if you share your stuff in a word document. You should really consider to start your own web site. Is it expensive? No, a lot of hosts are free and some are actually quite advanced. Is it difficult? No. You can make it yourself as easy as you want. My 12 year old son knows how to maintain his own web site (he doesn't need to know Dreamweaver or HTML) and nobody ever told him how to do it, so I think it shouldn't be too difficult for you, especially if you focus on a simple and straightforward design. Btw, I do want to mention that it's very positive though that you're willing to share your techniques, thumbs up! If you any more question, either about chrome or setting up a web site, then please let me know, ok |
