    Lens ilter, postprocessing or both?

I'd like to know how to get this cool image effect. I'm guessing some lens filter was used because the reflections in chrome look just to sparkly. But then the rest must be some postprocessing effect. I've seen similar effects in other pictures on Flickr with diferent hue but never couldn't...

    Editing a grayish day photo

I thought you get to HDR toning via File>Automate but you need more than one file for that unless it's somewhere else. I use CS4. Anyway, it looks great on that lowres gif. yaro

    Editing a grayish day photo

Here is what I came up with. Some linear light, painting in yellow and blending (thanks for that), some shadow and highlights and contrast correction. It's still missing something. Isn't that slightly overdone?... It is but it's my first attempt. yaro

    Editing a grayish day photo

Didn't know you can just insert a picture in this forum. DOH! I really like where that picture is going. I never used blending on buildings but seems to be doing a great job. I'll try colour dodge and Linear light when I have a chance to see how that works. Many thanks for your help yaro

    Editing a grayish day photo

The album is set to be public so I don't understand why doesn't give an option to download. If you use Firefox click on a picture and then right-click somewhere outside and select View Page Info > Media > Image and click Save As. If not tomorrow I'll figure out what's going on and fix it. Sorry...

    Editing a grayish day photo

I'll try that but I've got the feeling that the buildings will look not quite right. They'll miss that brightness pop and contrast with shadows that just aren't there. I don't have access to anything now but I'll post some pictures later on. yaro

    Editing a grayish day photo

Can someone suggest what can be done to a photo that was taken in a partly cloudy day with the sun covered or against the sun so it looks more lively? yaro

It depends on what you want to achieve. It would be easier to suggest something given an example. Cheers yaro

    Dark corners in photos

Sorry for the late replay but I had some problems with my PC. Back to the topic it turns up it's called vignetting and it was caused by stacked filters on my camera lens. There is a filter in photoshop that helps reduce this problem. yaro

    Dark corners in photos

I recently bought a new circular polarizer filter at Jessops to take it for my short holidays. When came back home I found that lots of my photos shot with that filter on have dark corners. Those with clear sky are easy to fix unfortunately lots of them have lots of details in the corners. There...

    Problem with wrinkles and highlights

Still to much of this wrinkle highlights KRF. iDad's idea about using smudging in lighten mode got me to using the clone tool in low opacity in Darker Colour mode and then the Healing brush in Darker mode on top of that. Much better result keeping some of the texture. Not perfect but pretty good...

    Problem with wrinkles and highlights

It's not that simple here. Healing and patching normally works fine but here you've got more complex situation. Lots of white lines make healing very difficult and close hairline with blown away spots doesn't help at all. Here is the link: Untitled-1.jpg picture by yaro_01 - Photobucket yaro

    Problem with wrinkles and highlights

Probably everybody had this type of a problem when a portrait photo of a smiling person was taken in bright light and the wrinkles outside of the eyes are just spoiling the image. Haw can this be fixed? Attaching an example :) yaro
