Ok i will be getting my pen tablet this week end now, i have had a phone call saying i can pick it up in store this saturday.
Recent challenges made me think of this in it's honour lol.
Just the Bamboo Pen version Steve, i have no real need for gimmicks like screen rotation and drag around, i just want to manipulate images with a pen over a mouse.
I have 2 tablets on 2 desks.
I use the Intuos4 with the main computer on a large desk, and Bamboo touch for my laptop which I turned into a Bamboo Pen when I turned off the touch options.
Like you I found the touch gimmicks to be a distraction.
I have been thinking about getting one of those too! I donīt quite understand how they work though, I have a small pen tablet, but that only lets you sit and try to write or draw with it just by moving the stylus while you are looking at what you are doing on the screen, itīs not very easy and isnīt much help. Do these wacom things allow you to draw and paint directly on them? I mean do you see what you are doing on the tablet screen instead of the computer, or both?
