Nope havnt tried that yet, the impact here is just as its meeting the earth

I like the first one cause of the vibrancy. But yup, add a bit of the impact effect to make it more dramatic.

To get your mind going, consider to go to Google images and type planet impact, you could lets of good ideas from that.
