    trying to reverse the image below to the original, took it from the web as something to practice, but its not going well. to me it seems like the glowing edges filter was used as well as contrast/brightness were fiddled with.

    seems like you are using fonts as images. You would only be able to change the dimension of the font if you follow this route. Just copy the text and resterize that layer. Let us know of the result. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

    cant really tell what going on with the background (a higher quality picture is appreciated) but i think its a type of washout effect for the logos with texture overlays, googled washout effect and came on this thread maybe it will help you achieve what you want
