    i can also suggest nik software plugin color efex and viveza. I use color efex pro and it's really a great hand. If you like it, try silver efex pro 2 for bw images.

    You can put the 2 pics in two levels. The text over the player. Make a selection of the text, ctrl+i to invert and then with a black mask + white brush, take away what you don't want.
