    ...Then I restart the computer and the brush problem comes right back. And it does seem to happen in paint too so I suppose it isn't a PhotoShop problem just my computer falling apart or something. I guess I just assumed it was PhotoShop because the problem didn't start until I upgraded to CS5.

    Yeah it was the same thing with the mouse. I feel stupid now but I think I fixed it. Not sure how but installing an older graphics driver seemed to fix it. If I update the driver then the brush in CS5 goes right back to being jagged. :/

    The brush settings should be at their default right now. I did play around with the settings then I did the ctrl + alt + shift reset. I haven't touched any settings since then. Though I think I made some slight headway into my problem. The brush shows up smoothly if I select 'Actual Pixels'...

    Maybe I didn't explain it well enough in my first post but after I had the problem with my Cintiq I tried using a plug-in mouse and then another wacom tablet. The brush was still jagged for all three of them, even the non-wacom computer mouse.
