    How to get rid of Shadows in a portrait

    Use a "back light" to wash the background with illumination. No shadows in the first place. There are many references to proper lighting techniques if you search photography lighting topics. Hope this helps.

    Loading background image

    OK. I have found an answer. There may be others, but for now this works for me. Once I have set up the workspace and opened the background image of choice, I open a new layer. I disable viewing the background, and all I have to do now is "Place" whatever new image I desire on the new layer...

    Loading background image

    I am using PS CS5 Extended. I have a little expereience with Photoshop, but my lack of knowledge about this basic task makes me feel real foolish. I want to make a composite photo of two different people and place them on a new background. I have no problems with creating the masks I desire...

    Hello to all. I'm new to this forum and have a little experience with Photoshop. Currently I am using PS CS5 Extended. I know I have a lot to learn. Hopefully I will be able someday to make contributions to this forum. Glad to be a member.
