    although... I should say, that I only bought full versions on ebay... not upgrades. This might not effect much, but I have only checked out full-version prices.. not upgrades. Upgrades are fairly cheap anyways.

    Scan lines

    I don't remember the name of it, but I believe I've seen a plugin to do specifically this.. try googling "remove scan lines" and you'll probably find it.

    Printing the grid

    I agree... quickest way is to just do a screengrab... and alter it from there. If it's not thick enough, you simply add a stroke, or change the color. Save it for future use so once it's done, you can re-use it everywhere you need to.

    I've always bought my software on ebay... someone's always got an extra copy or upgrade they don't want. Not exactly click and purchase... but it'll save you a few dollars.
