    In the tutorial I'm watching , the guy picks 2 colours off his reference and then he uses a sort of line tool that he drags from the canvas , off the canvas and it fills the canvas with different tones between the 2 colours selected . What is this tool ?

    Oh its layer called 3 x 3 box . So its something he has made . So what would be the quickest and easiest way to make one of these as I will be using them ALOT . Sorry for all the posts on one thread. Hyperactive and have so much to learn !

    If it helps its a grid he can move around and I think he right clicks and then selected "Free Transform" to resize it to the canvas ?
