    Transparent background image for print

    When you use Indesign you can use the photoshop transperency. just save as PS and place that in Indesign. cool huh

    Mark, I always send PDF's to the printers I work with. The problem with PS PDF was that I was losing tranparency. Turned out I was overlooking a setting See screen capture. Greetings Dirk

    Chillma, If you happens to have PhotoShop CS you can try the new shadow and highlight adjustment tool. it is under image > adjustments. It is very easy and quick. I use it a lot these day's. Greetings Dirk

    Mark, Ping and and bmp are normaly not used in the print world. But I found the ferfect solution. Saving as Photoshop PDF. You can still edit this file, it keeps transparency en the vector data. Give it a try. Greetinga Dirk

    The editability part I dont mind very much. I can always edit it in PS. The lost of quality is worse. But maybe it is me doing something wrong. Stille love to work with the CS package. BTW You can call me Dirk :-)

    Mark >Actually there's no way to do that. And it specifically because PDFs can't do that. But i'm sure Adobe will get that hooked up sometime downthe road here. The text is editable in PS thats ok. But wheb I place the native Photoshop file in InDesign text and other vector parts turn in...

    Mark, Nice trick. But me doing mostly print work have one problem using text in PS and that is when placing such a creation in InDesign it turns into a bitmap image in the final PDF. Is there a way to keep it as vector or text? Greetings Dirk

    Saving as tiff in a action

    I tried the droplet idear but even then I can get it to save the tif in the same folder as where the jpg came from. So I think the idear of haveing a temporary store folder from Lynny is the way to go for now. Thanks guys

    Great All, I have ask this question before, but maybe this is the rigth place. Is it posible to make a action save the resulting image in to the same folder as the original image. I have a action that goes trough several commands that I need to turn the JPG clients send in to cmyk tiff...
