    Hey Tom Thanks for your reply. That particular image is from Society6, but it's one of many that I've seen (mainly on tumblr). It's a very popular effect. No, I'm not certain it was done in Photoshop. And now that you raise the question, perhaps that is why I've never seen a Photoshop...

    I'm wondering if he's used a texture to do a lot of that. I've actually been looking into that effect for some time. Spent many hours searching for info on it, and have yet to find anything at all. I really appreciate you having a go at it for me. Thanks so much. Dan
