    Transparancy and Alpha Channels

    Nice overview Erik, One clarification though so people don't misunderstand. A Layer mask is an Alpha channel, just a special one that is applied as "live" transparency/opacity on the layer it is attached to. If you have a Layer Mask attached to an image and go into Channels you will see...

    I vote yes. I think that a set of groundrules gives the place a basic foundation that everyone can reference. Also I think it helps others that might be concerned about a post, know where you stand on things. That way they can just ref part of your post when a situation comes up and it's no bad...
