    Graduated Filters?

Oh, my God, ibclare, I owe you an apology. You posted exactly the solution I was looking for early on; the bit about using a gradient on top of a layer mask. I guess I just didn't read it very carefully before dismissing it. That does exactly what I want. Boy, is my face red. Sorry. Many...

    Graduated Filters?

Spruce: No, that's not what I'm after. Again, I want something where one side of the image has, say, a pencil sketch effect over it, but the effect fades on its way toward the other side and the other side isn't effected at all. Get it?

    Graduated Filters?

Perhaps I don't have your eye for detail, but the nose and eyes are the only parts of those photos that don't look identical to me. Whatever effect you used does not appear to fade out from top to bottom or from one side to the other. Did you do a circular fade around the eyes and nose? I'm...

    Graduated Filters?

I'm relatively new to PS. I've been fiddling around with it for a few months, now, including taking an online training course from DigitalTutors.com. I like to think I'm fairly proficient for a beginner, but I've never heard anything about Camera Raw. The training video series never mentioned...

    Graduated Filters?

Either of WHAT? I think you forgot to attach some images.

    Graduated Filters?

What exactly IS Camera Raw? Is it part of Photoshop or is it a separate program?

    Graduated Filters?

Hi, all. Can someone tell me how to combine a filter with a gradient so that the filter effect is on, say, the top of the image but not the bottom? Say I want to apply a Pixelated Mosaic effect to the top of an image and have it slowly transition, becoming less and less pixelated toward the...

    Creating Elementals

I have a separate but related project I've been working on that might help things along, here. I'm trying to create a tiger whose fur transitions seamlessly into fire so that it looks like it's actually made of fire, but I can't quite get the blending right. Any suggestions?

    Creating Elementals

I've been playing around with techniques I've seen in various tutorials and here's what I've come up with so far. It's not perfect, but it's close. Just gotta fine-tune it a bit.

    Creating Elementals

I realize that this is going to involve experimenting with a variety of methods. The reasosn I haven't asked how you produced any of the works you've shown me are because A) I haven't seen anything that resembles my vision closely enough and B) I think I can work out for myself how you did what...

    Creating Elementals

That last one was okay, but it wasn't as good as the earlier stuff you did with the fire and figure I posted. I found a few better examples that almost look like what I'm trying to do. Sorry to keep giving you the "Meh" answer, but like most visual artists, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to...

    Creating Elementals

Sorry about the late reply. The tool Fatboy recommended is neat, but it doesn't quite work for me. It just scribbles all over the place and doesn't give you much control over the result. Maybe if it had a speed control option. The stuff you did with that figure and the flames I posted...

    Liquify Screen Too Big

Yeah, it's a MacBook. Did you figure out a solution for it?

    Liquify Screen Too Big

He-he! Nice. Seriously, though, that's a drawing; I want a picture. I wanna stretch and warp the mouse into the shape of a Tyrannosaurus' body.

    Creating Elementals

Hello? Anyone? Just replying to this thread to put it back near the top of the forum in the hopes that someone can help me out.
