    I've been trying to Google a tutorial for this but I can't seem to find one. How would I go about in creating a gif where an image/word gradually appears much like it does for a crystal ball (the sort of cloudy, wave/distorted effect it is portrayed as in the media).

    Holy ****, thanks a lot. I finally figure out what I was doing wrong, I'm such a idiot! I didn't realize there is a difference between clicking on the image icon (i.e., the ellipse picture icon) and the layer option (i.e., C or Ellipse 1 in my own setup). Thank you so much!

    Hi, Thanks for the speedy reply. I have no idea what I am doing wrong because I can't seem to replicate what they are doing. Their ellipse C layer is on top of your still image but it's not altering the original image until you copy it and make layer 2. Here's an image of what I'm getting...
