Hey guys, this is my latest. I've spent a lot of time on this one and I'm curious what you think of it? Stock used: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Dinosaur-139273212 by Ragnarok1998 http://www.deviantart.com/art/Dino-294839080 by Anschi71 http://www.deviantart.com/art/dinosaur-24-164970596 by...

    A Turtle Fantasy

Updated version in the original post. I tried to give it more depth by going brighter and blurrier to the horizon. Does that help? I couldn't fade the clouds to much because than the whole image was brighter and the lighting of the models and the ambient didn't felt right anymore.

It's actually pretty easy once you know how to. Instead of working with one image of the bottle, you have to separate the highlights and shadows to 2 separate layers. You can select the highlights by going to your channels panel. Hold down the ctrl key and click on the RGB channel. This selects...

Thank you all for your comments! The clouds/horizon seems to draw too much attention. So I'm going to tweak that a bit more this evening. See if I can create a feel of depth if I soften them a bit. And this would also solve the harsh horizon line.

    Kill To Survive

I wouldn't do that, because to me it's very obvious that he is in mid air doing an attack. Maybe you should make him bigger. Now it looks like he is going to land behind the dragon instead of on his head. I could be wrong though, still trying to figure it out :)

    Nature's gift

The effect on the hand is something I recently learned and I really love this effect. You first apply an hdr toning. First try to set the settings so the image looks as close as the original as possible. Then pump up the detail until you are satisfied with the result. But you can go crazy with...

    Nature's gift

I've been playing with this idea for quite awhile now, but never pulled it off. Until now, at least that is what I think. What do you think? All stocks are from Deviantart

Very nice Chris! Like Sam, I too love the animated style. One little thing though and maybe it's just me, but the guy looks a bit odd. Can't put my finger on it what's wrong with him though. Guess my eye's aren't trained enough :) But I really love the woman with the sword. She is very nicely done!

    Challenge 20 - Surrealism

Hey chrisdesign, I really love your "Sofa Tree". I think it's a true piece of art. Anyway, here's my entry. I have 2 versions of it. I couldn't decide which one to keep :) So I just posted them both. Maybe the last one is more of a combination of surrealism and pop art :p
