    Hi Sam, i have been using your method and it works great up to the point when finishing the refining edges. When pressing Ok, it will either create a new layer or document (what ever i select) but the color still wont be on them. Am i doing it wrong?

I have created an image and the color of the text is coming from the background by using the Darken Color blend mode.
