    Thanks for the reply. I did that though and I still get the same effect. Are there other settings somewhere that I'm missing? Or should I reinstall PS maybe?

    Problem with feather...

    I've just started using Photoshop again after a long break, and now I'm having a problem. Whenever I use the rectangular marquee tool with feather and then fill it, I get this: How do I get a nice clean line instead of fading edges like that?
