    An eye, hopefully!

My first attempt of drawing an eye. I used a computer mouse. The Iris is a brush and so is the eye lashes, rest is drawn by hand. I couldn't get it to look lively, in my opinion it's a pretty "dead" eye. But all in all I'm pretty pleased as it is a first attempt! Oh and yea, I accidently...

    Young Girl Portrait, Skin Retouch

I can see everything in your calibration picture, and the line I was talking about is gone in your rendition of the picture. It might the different monitor settings that created all this confusion

I'd like to get some constructive criticism for my first project from scratch.

Just few things I notice directly when I look at your image. The font is too big, meaning they are too close to the edges (Bank On Yourself). Either make the circle bigger, or the font a bit smaller. Also in my opinion the check mark symbol is too big and the design of it doesn't really match...

    Young Girl Portrait, Skin Retouch

Nope not the hair, the line in the background! It's one line, that look like a diagonal horizon.. Hard to explain

On my monitor the change in color on the different sides of that line is pretty prominent. Just pointing this out because otherwise it is really hard to see if the picture has been edited, from a non-trained eyes perspective that is. That change of color gives it away, at least for me!

Good job with the face, my only concern is the background. You can clearly see lines at the top right of the head around the hair. Still a job well done in my opinion.

Feedback and tips needed - Knight in a glade.

Thanks for the feedback, yea the angle of the shadow is a hard one, as you see the two sets of trees to the left and to the right are both in different angles. The light source is confusing for me, so I made the angle of the shadow to be something in between. Argh this is hard!

Feedback and tips needed - Knight in a glade.

I have manipulated these two images, the background + the knight. But something is off and I can't put my finger on it. So any suggestions, feedback and/or help would be appreciated.

    Removing complex design from background

I really like people like you who for once are genuinely happy when you get help! As how he did it I would guess he used magic wand tool selected the background and pressed delete. That deletes everything inside the selection. Then he followed the same procedure inside the detailed scrollwork...

    Removing complex design from background

I'm not sure I follow your question entirely, but if I guess you want to use that image as your background on your homepage? If so use a wrapping <div> for the entire homepage with that image as a background to that <div>. And then code all your content inside that background <div>. Example...

    Oriental bay

This is my edition, not sure if this is the kind of work you are looking for. Methods: I first duplicated the layer (obvious), changed the Hue/Saturation levels followed with Brightness/Contrast. I played with the levels until I found the colors I liked. After that I applied the Median filter...

    mirror image

Yepp then it's cloned and mirrored. This is usually done by games to keep the polygon count down, the result of this is that the game is easier to run. In short, it improves the performance. Unfortunately you can't edit this in a easy way, you will either have to recreate the model or find a...
