Shop CS5/Windows 7 and dreaded 'tabs'

That option only pertains to inside of photoshop... how shop opens up images in it's on "tabs". I'm talking about the task bar at the very bottom of your screen, the Windows task bar.

Shop CS5/Windows 7 and dreaded 'tabs'

anyone else find it annoying that CS5 opens multiple images and adds them to the task bar? It's a shop feature that cannot be undone in settings, and I don't want to 'combine' my task bar buttons (i need them to stay open). Anyone have a work around? I might have to go back to CS4...

    Photoshop Technique

well that depends, I assume you'll want to print out at 300dpi correct? Just take down measurements of how big you want it on the bike (or whatever).. .let's say it's roughly an 8 inch by 14.5 inch graphic. In Photoshop, make sure the settings are correct (enter the inches, and change the...

    logo size help?!

Yea, you're stuck with the size. It depends upon how 'complicated' the logo is, and how experienced you are.. but yes, that is a great way to do it. Do you have illustrator? Well, even if you don't, it can be done in Shop. As an example, let's say you're tasked with printing this out...

    logo size help?!

Unfortunately not... ppi (pixel size) and dpi (resolution) are mutually exclusive. Meaning; if you raise the dimensions of an image by a factor of 2 (500px by 500px upto 1000px by 1000px) then your resolution will decrease by a factor of 2 (from 100dpi to 50dpi). By the way, what is the...

    logo size help?!

Unfortunately, there's no way you're going to 'blow up' an image and get the same resolution... especially an image that is 100x100. You simple HAVE to redo the logo if that's all you have. Can't you find that logo larger? a 300 or 600 ppi version that's more like 1000px x 1000px?

Lazy Mouse Plugin - or similar

I'm looking for a Photoshop plugin that helps brush a smooth curve without resorting to using the cumbersome "Pen Tool". I was playing around in Zbrush and it has a "Lazy Brush" tool, basically "helps" you draw a steady curved line. This might be too powerful a function for a plugin, but I...

    Paste in place Shop CS2+

Sorry if this is a dead horse, could not find anything through search. The old "paste in place" function seems to be missing in CS2 (gosh i miss Shop 7 sometimes).. any idea of workarounds that aren't more than 2 steps? moreover: I have a selection, want to cut out or copy and place in the...

Today's IdeaL computer setup for Photoshop?

mfox is right, you need a good CPU and mobo to support all your upgrades (like RAM). But please, take my word for it... don't try and go cheap and buy a $50 video card! New OS's (Vista) and new applications are pushing video cards... If you're serious about digital art, get a decent video card.

Today's IdeaL computer setup for Photoshop?

don't know about your CPU.. .seems old/slow. But, priorities for Photoshop (my opinion): #1 Lotsa RAM. I have 3 gb's and I do fine, but sounds like you need a workhorse... look for 4 to gb of good RAM. Beware, there is cheapo RAM, good RAM, and REALLY good RAM. #2 video card - don't...
