    This is not what happened for me. It sent me to another page and gave me an actual error code, and then that message. I am used to it using AJAX to load it so it doesn't leave the page, that's what I was talking about in the post too. Something odd must have happened. Not that you can look into...

    Re: Let's talk fonts I did click back, but everything I typed was gone. Other vbulletin forums I am on will give you that error message without reloading the entire page and making you lose content. Just a suggestion. I know the rules against posting spam links and links to your own site...

    Well I just typed a 6 paragraph answer and submitted with a link to hoeflerfrerejones dot com and it didn't let me and didn't save my text so... That really needs to be fixed on this forum.

    clone tool not showing results until mouse button released

    I don't think it had to do with the key strokes you pressed. I think you may have just been out of memory. Photoshop does that with a lot of tools (brush tool, clone tool, etc) when it is out of memory. ;)

    How I would do it: Bottom layer is the floral pattern On top of that I'd put medium gray layer and use Filter>Render>Lighting Effects and set that layer to Overlay or Linear Dodge, depending on the effect it gives you Top layer I would just create a black box then use Filter>Blur Gaussian Blur...

    Can someone tell me how this was done?

    Definitely done in Illustator using the 3D Extrude tool. You can make it look a lot better than this example too if you take the time to boolean add and recolor some of the pieces :)

    Inspiration Tips!!

    I get inspiration from things all over the place. I find the best inspiration not from other design websites or designers, but from looking at things that aren't necessarily related to the design field. A lot of the Photoshop styles I create come from nature or just looking at what is around me.

    Bending text

    The warp tool does just that...warps the text. The best way to do this is to use the pen tool to draw the "smiley face" using 3 points, a start point, middle point, and end point and then just use the text tool to type text along the path.
