How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

I agree - the Gigapixel is great for a very low quality image but doesn't really help with this. Thanks again!

How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

I used Topaz Gigapixel AI which increases the size. I thought this would make it sharper. Didn't see much of a difference though. Maybe I am misunderstanding Smart-objects. Before I make any size or crop changes I first convert it to a smart object.

How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

Hi - I did it both ways and the image is still quite different than that of the original. It could be possible that I am being overly critical and the difference will not be noticed when shown in the printed size. Here is a link to the image I am working with and the image size and cropping. PS...

How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

Hi - I am taking pictures of houses from across the street so I realize that a photo taken closer would be sharper. The image size is 4000 x 3000. To improve the sharpness I brought the photo into Topaz Gigapixel AI and increased the size to 24000 x 18000 px. After making my adjustments in...

How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

I am assuming to select "Don't Merge" I select "Don't Rasterize" - guessing that is best. I don't understand this but I guess I select "OK" Does this look correct?

How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

It seems that I lose quality and the image becomes quite pixilated when cropping the image. The photo was 4000 x 3000 cropped and reduced to 900 x 600. Making it a smart image before cropping did not help.

I just wanted to check - is what I have above correct even though I cannot change the color to CMYK?

How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

Wow - thank you! When I open up the image in PS, do I need to convert the working space at that time? Next after fixing the image in PS I crop it to 900 x 600 Then I adjust the image size to resolution of 300 which changes the width/height to 3750 x 2500. I then change that to 900 x 600 and...

How Do I Make an Image for a Book?

Hello - I am writing a book for the first time. There will be a real lot of photos, mostly of houses. Being able to see the details in the architecture is important but not so much for perfect color. In the section I am working on, I would like the images to be approximately 2x3 inches. The...

    Color matching problem

I really appreciate all your help. With the pics you question, I first lighten up some of the shadows and make some adjustments. A do this all on a zoom call w a homeowner so I do it quickly and therefore some of the selections on a layer at the bottom are sloppy. This is a part I really do...

    Color matching problem

I tried doing this with another photo from the same homeowner and had the same problem Then I tried a photo from someone else and it worked perfectly. Both pics are jpegs - how can they react so differently? Could there be something in the profile of the image altering it? update: I think I...

    Color matching problem

Hi - sorry I am confused. I have used this method over 1000 times and it always worked very well except this time the color is way off. It works find for this file 1105-6614-hc106.psd So if I turn off all my layers except the siding layer, I isolate the original color. I add the hue saturation...

    Color matching problem

Hello - Attached are 2 photoshop file links. house color and house I have these two files open side by side. I click on a color from the color chart, and with a color overlay, I change the color of the house. The colors always match up perfectly with only a lighting adjustment needed. For some...
