    LOL - I assure you that I am anything but an expert! I use LAB for burning and dodging, only. I am pretty inept. You should have seen my happy ass jumping around when I managed this today! LOL - would have thought I had discovered the wheel!

    Oh, no worries - I wasn't feeling ignored! I was just desperate! LOL - but thank you for looking for me - I'm no whiz at PS, believe me - my work is very, very straightforward as a rule and requires little work (old BW shooter) ButI got this bright idea to buy this idiot underwater pocket...

    Ok - well, I figured it out. It is possible. Save as a PSD - change to 16 bit, take the channel you do NOT want, put a 50% gray fill on it, save again and bada bing.

    Hello - this a weird one. I was working in LAB and turned off chanel a. The color then became exactly, perfectly what I was looking for. So far I have not been able to save the image without that chanel coming back on. Is this even possible? Its an underwater shot, so loosing all that color...
