    okay so I made the one shape frame but how do I make the text frame? if I want the text to be on a frame where there is a picture what do I do? in the orginal project I am trying to add text to exsisting layers if that makes sense.

    here's what I did. I go to the Layers tab and click on Merge Visiable. It still adds the text to the first 3 frames but not the last 2 frames.
