    Almost There!

Hey guys. I haven't been on much lately due to organising this shoot. After a few scheduling and re-schedulings of the shoot date so all the models, costume designers, photographer and make up artist could make it, its on for March 1. The characters we have are: Aquaman Poison Ivy The...

first one of a set of six i hope , c and c welcome

I wasn't referring to the clarity of the original image, but the selection techniques used. The puppy's edges are both blurred away but hard at the same time. I assume you were trying to create a depth of field blur effect, but in this case it hasn't worked, and the puppy looks hacked at, and...

first one of a set of six i hope , c and c welcome

The puppy looks like it's edges are semi-transparent. Selections are messy, and the puppy's left ear looks hacked. Needs a lot of clean up work.

    How big is the market?

You already have sites such as deviantart, cgsociety, polycount, graphicdesignforum....just to name a few. You have heavy, well funded, and very well established competition. I really don't think this is a prospect unless you have some new angle or system which would appeal to artists more than...

Asked for a glamour before & after

Nice composite of the two ladies beside each other, but I have to ask, who is the cute redhead between them?

    Fire Sprite

Well I had a think about it. I was thinking in terms of the character lore, where the fire is created from an unnatural source, and so does not behave like natural fire, but then I realised that a lot of people who see it might not realise that, and so from a random viewer's perspective, I guess...

When And How To Fire A Client

Great article on how to handle it when someone is just being funny/awkward and bleeding you dry. http://www.graphicdesignblender.com/when-to-fire-a-design-client

    Fire Sprite

Okay made some edits, and this is the updated version.

    Head on fire

The comp would look more realistic if there was some dodging on the chef's hat, and a colour cast reflection from the fire on the hat as well. At the moment, there is a disconnect in the interacions between the hat and the fire. This hat is black, so the reflections and interactions are a bit...

Very nice. Love Thor. Did you model the hammer yourself?

    My New Project

Nope, just a super-serious fan art project. I would make money off it if I could, and at one stage I was considering options for getting a licence deal with Marvel to create posters of this nature (they would get a portion of the profits) but after doing some research, I found out it was going...

    My New Project

It almost always comes down to money. If no money is being made, then you aren't benefiting from using the likeness of the copyright. In cases where companies file copyright violation notices, it is usually because something THEY created (image, illustration etc) is being used in a manner which...

    My New Project

No. Copyright doesn't extend to skills. I create the shots, and my skills edit them so all the content is owned by me. If I were to set up a site selling the shots as posters and had "The Incredible Hulk" on it, and it sold thousands of copies, then yeah, I would get a letter from their lawyers...

Another PSG war to come but lets get this resolved

Okay Hoogle, a few lines about your work practice would have cleared it up. No need to write me your memoirs :) As long as you're making it clear to clients on signed paper what is expected of them, and what they can expect of you, and you tell them what the price is, not the other way around...
