Blending a patch of sky with clouds added to sky of another photo

Thanks so much for your patience. I feel bad that you take time to repeat; There is no need to repeat what you said but again I didn't explain properly. I will look for a good example; picture is worth a 1000 words, right/ maybe 2,000...). ERASE PART OF A CLOUD: Is it possible to erase a part...

Blending a patch of sky with clouds added to sky of another photo

Hi IamSam, instructions for replacing the sk are great! It was very exciting to see it; as you explained so well it's ver simple and easy. Also, advising me of how to create a precise mask is invaluable! i am very grateful to you for your kindness & patience! I have been working on it for hours...

Blending a patch of sky with clouds added to sky of another photo

    1. I matched the clouds' sky & the main sky as well as I could using H&S & selective color which works pretty well. I don't do well with curves. The problem, as I stated, is that both skies have a range of blues, not homogeneous blue, darker in some areas than other. So what do I match the...

    2. When masking the tree, in any method, the original cloud is lost. I used color range maticulously around all the flowers for best definition. I tried not to include white in order to save the cloud but there is some white in the sky. There is also some white in the flowers!!! Will it be the...

Blending a patch of sky with clouds added to sky of another photo

I examined well your great example from 2:44 of adding a cloud. If I understand correctly, you adjusted the sky color on the original layer by using H&S adj layer resulting in an excellent match to the cloud sky. In this case, when you added the cloud with whatever leftover sky it matched well...

How would you classify this photo: sharp, very sharp, not sharp?

I tried color range before it didn't give me a "fine-tunes" mask for the tiny details. WHat do you recommend better: Alpha channel or color-range? which one is better? which one is easier? How do I match the sky color in all four images?

I got logged out and for some reason wasn't able to log in until now. Thanks a million! Your advise is FANTASTIC!!! Both techniques are extremely useful definitely for this project and for many cases. You are a life-saver indeed! I need to study what you wrote/did and learn how to use...

Blending a patch of sky with clouds added to sky of another photo

Tom responded first. Your example is great! I even wrote to you that I might need to adjust to your example and try to photograph sky with clouds only in order to replace the whole sky. It's good to know your idea anyway! very educational! I would prefer to use clouds that I have especially...

I thought that we can brainstorm and discuss it together; team work. If you prefer that I just "talk" to you that's fine.

The colors here look completely different (very faded & dull) than on my computer

Blending a patch of sky with clouds added to sky of another photo

Thanks a lot for responding and for your beautiful example. 1. How do you crete the mask on the alpha channel? with selections tools? 2. The problem with selecting the sky is that there are many little flowers; how do you create a mask so intricate? 3. What you did makes sense: replacing the...

Blending a patch of sky with clouds added to sky of another photo

I am trying to add a patch of sky with clouds to a photo of a flowering tree's sky (host). How do I blend the skies? I tried to match the patch's color as much as possible to the sky color of the host but both are of uneven darkness (darker in one area then another, in both the host & the...
