    AI - good or bad?

my goodness, what a can of worms... in your spanner example, the spanner, along with the arm and program behind it would, i think, remain 'tools', since there is no added input from the program?

    AI - good or bad?

i was prompted into this by a long conversation with my wife - a well respected artist, who, in no short shift, took one look at what i had created using invokeai, and simply laughed. as she pointed out, ai can only manipulate what already exists, it might well create interesting visuals, but at...

    AI - good or bad?

rather than hijack another thread, feel free to praise or damn ;-) i come from a tv / video background where creating a blue screen was only possible using $100K of equipment, and even then still had a halo. now, pulling a green screen is almost obsolete, simply masking the subject is almost a...

    Remove Twig

have to agree, however, i suspect we're both very old school - i come from a tv / video background where creating a blue screen was only possible using $100K of equipment, and even then still had a halo. now, pulling a green screen is almost obsolete, simply masking the subject is almost a...

    Photoshop and AI

interesting debates going on all over about ai - not to mention its flagrant copying of other people's work! i have no objection to its use as long as it is identified as such - which isn't often done when used for nefarious / sales purposes. we live in interesting times, when we can no longer...

what happened to "Export to Web"

i really miss export web gallery. it moved to bridge, and now, apparently, lightroom. such is life with adobe ;-(

how to restore a painting in Photoshop

the above cannot be reiterated enough... crap in, crap out ;-( the cracking looks like craquelure, the ageing of the paint on canvas. perhaps a better approach might be to tackle the painting itself (if it's really worth the effort)...

    Creating Images withArtificial intelligence.

interesting indeed, but very ai looking. yes, i know they're created with ai, and that's what i mean they computer generated ;-) no offence intended.

What Do You Think About AI in Photoshop?

i think we're all going to be superfluous sooner than we thought. frankly, i don't think ai could ever create a rubens style painting without having 'sampled' one in the first place. ai is clever at rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic, but not at building the ship without reference...

How to place people/objects in a scene and have them be in the right proportion

Wouldn't the man be smalller than the statue on the right? how do you know the height of the statue in the first place? as it is, the inserted element is too big relative to the 'desk'...
