Specific Hoping for a little help

I have a restoration project and need to apply a facsimile of the original logo. Unfortunately it's no longer available so I have to make one myself. I have a .jpg image that is roughly the correct size. It's a single color, black and has a tranparent white background.

I can't seem to sharpen the image or edges, thus it's useless in its current form. It will be printed on waterslide decal film. The final image should measure 50mm horizontally x 32mm vertically.

I hope someone out there can help me out. It will be VERY much appreciated. Pls message me with questions or....
