    Yes, entire tonal range 0-255 (full luminosity mask :P). I'm not interested in partial mask - one tonal value, or darks, midtones, highlights etc. ;) As I stated in my first post here, I know several different ways of doing that but I'm curious if someone here have more ideas :)

    As English is not my native language I'm afraid that I can misunderstood your post 😕 What I'm looking for are methods of converting layer or document containing color image into black and white layer/mask/selection (doesn't matter which one) containing only its luminosity data.

Of course sometimes differences are very subtle and visible only in specific color areas but sometimes mask is different in much bigger scale. I understand that there must be some differences between HSL and HSB...

    Nice render ;-) much better than in PS. Does you have in plans using ambient occlusion? You can use it not only for shadows but also for applying textures in "hard to reach" places of a model :-)

    Sometimes it gives nice results, sometimes.. hmm bad :-) I've shared this because I think it's just interesting ;-) There will be no such tool that will do that job better than ourselves for a long time I guess. But it's worth looking :-)

    Hi, I've searched but didn't find any info here about this :) I've found an online algorithm that will automatically colour your black and white photos, it's not perfect but its nice fun :) http://demos.algorithmia.com/colorize-photos/ example: btw: it's "Coloring" or "Colouring"? :)

    urgent help !!auto blend layers issue .

    Click with SHIFT on black layer mask in the layers panel or select that mask (just click it) and press CTRL+I
